Unblemished Color / New Process

One of the many efforts Tetra Mold and Tool has made toward achieving customer satisfaction has led to the development of a unique mixed color processing technique.

Typically there is a limit to what mixed color pellets can achieve with respect to homogeneity of the melt mix which leaves a variety of levels of streaking (unmixed concentrate). On critical color matches and high visibility parts this can lead to the necessity of purchasing pre-colored materials at a premium cost.

Our process has eliminated this higher cost option and saved our customers on material costs as well as eliminating non-conformance issues related to “streaking" and “color separation”.

This new process has also shown the ability to reduce or eliminate other molding defects such as “blush” and “flow lines”.
